Proofreading
Proofreading looks specifically at punctuation, spelling, grammar, and internal consistency in a manuscript. References and formatting are checked and applied throughout the manuscript. Since proofreading is the final pass of the editing process, it essentially sets the manuscript up for a seamless, professional quality design of the manuscript as a print file. Proofreading service includes the creation of a personalized style sheet (if one hasn't already been created during line- and copyediting).

During proofreading I will focus on:
-
Consistency of grammar, punctuation, spelling, capitalization
-
Word usage
-
Typos
-
Missing or repeated words
-
Formatting consistency
Proofreading is completed using either Track Changes in Word or tools for marking up PDF proofs. Authors are responsible for accepting/rejecting all changes to the manuscript. Please note, proofreading is not a substitute for editing.
